FARMINGTON — A man suspected of assaulting women by throwing or ejaculating semen onto them at a local Walmart store may also have videotaped a woman using his cell phone.

Police are still seeking the public's help in identifying the man.

"Somebody has to know him," said Det. Heather Chavez of the Farmington Police Department.

An earlier release described two incidents on March 29, 2010, and Nov. 8, 2012. Farmington police believe the same man was involved in both incidents.

Publicity from the case — which spread to the Huffington Post website and a late-night Comedy Central show — yielded only one clue. A woman said she recognized the man as someone who recorded her buttocks while she was shopping in an aisle.

"She confronted him, and then he denied it and took off," she said.

Chavez said it is possible the suspect could escalate his behavior and authorities want to catch him as quickly as possible.

Victims in the case gave similar descriptions of the alleged attacker: a Native American man, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds.

A surveillance video capture released by police shows a man in a dark T-shirt with orange and yellow type, blue jeans and a tan baseball cap.

Police have said the man may have assaulted other women at area retail stores. Investigators are looking for other women who may have been victims.
