TIJERAS, N.M.—Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies say a mountain highway east of Tijeras is back open following a deadly motorcycle crash.
Sgt. Sam White says two motorcycles were traveling on N.M. 14 when one of the riders lost control and hit a guardrail.
The 30-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not immediately release his name.
White says the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and it appears that speed was a factor.
