ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Albuquerque police say a middle school student is being questioned after he threatened to blow up his school.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Ferris Simmons says the McKinley Middle School student told staff he had a bomb in his backpack Friday morning. The boy was reportedly frustrated after arguing with classmates.

The boy's classroom was evacuated and arriving police decided to evacuate the whole school. No explosives were found in the boy's backpack and students were allowed to return to class.

Simmons says the boy's parents have been called and Albuquerque Public Schools officials will handle any discipline.
