CARLSBAD, N.M.—A Carlsbad man faces multiple charges after allegedly attacking his wife with a knife while holding their infant daughter.
A criminal complaint said 27-year-old Abraham Rodriguez allegedly forced his wife Elizabeth Munoz's head against a table while holding a knife to her throat while she held their little girl.
Rodriguez is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, assault on a household member with intent to commit a violent felony, child abuse, aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon and criminal damage to property.
Rodriguez was placed on a cash-only bond of $50,000 and awaits a preliminary hearing Nov. 17.
