It was with great hope and glory to God that I watched the powerful and peaceful March for Life in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Jan. 22. Literally hundreds of thousands of Americans from all walks of life, faiths and ages attended the prayer vigils, rallies and march down Constitution Avenue toward the Capitol Building. The numerous senators, representatives, clergy and pro-life organization founders who spoke with compassion and conviction of the need and progress with overturning the heinous decision of Roe v. Wade that kills the least among us, the unborn, was staggering.

The healing of many men and women was evident as they held placards reading, "I regret my abortion" or "I regret my lost fatherhood." Additionally, the interviews with the young people were particularly moving as they recognize that they are the "survivors" who were born after 1973 and have a real heart for the right to life of every American from the moment of conception to natural death.

Yet, with such astounding presence, there was no mention in any of the "mainstream" media either in your paper, the major or local TV networks or the radio of this most important civil rights movement of our time. I can only imagine why it was not covered or reported upon. I am most grateful for the live coverage from Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) where they broadcast the evening and all-day event live. Having attended the March for Life in D.C. in the past, I know of its power and

life-affirming experience.

What constitutes news nowadays? Shouldn't this have been a piece worthy of mention?

Since moving to this beautiful Four Corners area just six months ago, my husband and I have been impressed with (among other things) the local and statewide Pro-Life Movement. There is much hope and belief here. I just wished you had shared with the local believers the message of the March that we are not alone, that with God all things are possible and that there are many people willing, ready and able to help anyone who is considering killing their unborn baby to choose life for their baby instead. Thank you for considering this most positive, peaceful and life-affirming event newsworthy next time.
