I am going to complain a little about our elected representation at the Santa Fe Roundhouse. Do any of them know how to spell economy?

We have a capitalist economy and it is based on between 60 and 70 percent consumer buying to keep it afloat. So when we get into trouble we, in our infinite wisdom, start laying off people to meet our current obligations. What does this do to our long-term economy? Like next year?

What happened to that 60 to 70 percent of the buying that those laid off workers used to spend? We don't have it anymore, and the smiling politician says that by then, maybe we will learn to tighten our belt a little more.

Are any of the bankers or politicians trying really hard to help the little guy with a doable idea to get it off the ground? How many of your readers have tried to get a SBA loan? First you need enough money to hire a professional to write your application or it will not even get looked at. This is experience talking. If you think it untruthful go ahead and try it. I did three times, and it never rated a reply. Why? Because it was never read.

How many government workers right now are just sitting, waiting for the axe to fall, that could be helping the little guy with a good idea, get started? How about this one? We all at one time or another, have had to burn off sagebrush, for pasture or another crop. How does sage burn? Like gasoline, either dead or green. How about that for renewable fuel for this area? feasible, that would be a big shot for our economy and the economic pie would be bigger, not smaller.

And we would not need to lay off school teachers. Brother, talk of shooting ourselves in the foot. Our children and therefore our future are our children and the education we can offer them. That is just one of the many ideas floating around out there. Go talk to some of the "switchers" out there. They have Ideas too.
