FARMINGTON — The Jordan World Circus will be coming to the Montezuma County Fairgrounds in Cortez, Colo., on Monday and to McGee Park Coliseum in Farmington on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Produced by Jody Jordan, the circus features a collection of artists and animals from around the world, including "The gentle giants," a group of elephants.

One of the circus' attractions include the Double Somersaulting BMX star, Karoly Zeman. Zeman's parents enrolled him in the Hungarian state circus school when he was twelve. Starting as a trapeze artist, Zeman saved up money to buy his first BMX bicycle. In 1992, he placed third in the BMX World Championships.

After graduating from school, Zeman took his bike riding to the circus ring. According to the Jordan World Circus promoters, Zeman is currently the only performer to present a double somersault on a BMX bicycle.

Another attraction will be Kampanita and Kampanilla, a father-son clown duo that has traveled through four different continents over the course of more than thirty years.

The Cortez showings will be at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. while the Farmington showings will will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tickets are available at www.thejordanworldcircus.com and at the gate one hour before showtime. Adult tickets are $16 and children tickets are $12.
