Louie graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a bachelor's degree in mass communication, and is inching (ever so slowly) towards a master's degree in sports studies. He has won two Associated Press Managing Editors awards (first and third) for sports writing, and has been in Farmington for more than two years.
A native of Minnesota, Louie loves the outdoors, including running, biking, hiking, fishing and camping. His dog, Autumn, though quite possibly the most spoiled canine in the history of the world, often accompanies him on his daily treks. He has two brothers and two sisters and 10 nephews and nieces that, along with his parents, Pat and Louie Jr., are spread throughout northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
Louie's journalistic inspiration comes from Ron Burgundy.
