Debra Mayeux is a longtime news reporter, with experience in all medias in the Four Corners area. Mayeux started her news career as an intern at The Daily Times. When that ended she began working for local radio stations as news director. Radio took her to Durango, Colo., where she was news director at the Radio Ranch, owned at the time by former President Gerald Ford and Ambassador Leonard Firestone.

She returned to Farmington in 1997 and two years later ended up back at The Daily Times as lifestyles editor. She left for a brief period to work as a news anchor on KOBF-TV, but her love of news writing brought her back.

Mayeux has covered almost every news beat from cops and courts to business and city politics. She enjoys religion writing and reporting on all of the arts and entertainment activities in the community.

Mayeux collects Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorabilia and enjoys reading historic fiction and vampire novels.
