Patrick hails from the suburb of Massapequa, New York. He began his journalism career with the Philadelphia City Paper in 2005 as an editorial intern who wrote a food column entitled "What's Cooking." After graduating from La Salle University, also in Philadelphia, he was hired by The Daily Times to be a copy-editor; the beginning of his New Mexico adventure. After working as a copy-editor for a year, he was selected to fill the newly created position of online editor, although he still helps out on the copy desk a few days out of the week.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys being a certified nerd by playing video games and tabletop role-playing games, reading science fiction and fantasy and trying to get his less-nerdy friends to do the same. His favorite author is Orson Scott Card and his favorite band is Nickel Creek.
