The woman who crashed into a car containing Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mother and cousin has been charged with driving under the influence, according to TMZ.

The Aug. 2 head-on crash in Clermont, Florida, left Johnson's mom, Ata Maivia-Johnson, and her passenger, Lina Fanene, hospitalized.

Police say the suspect ran two red lights while being chased by police after fleeing a traffic stop.

The Rock's Uncle Afa reportedly told TMZ that Maivia-Johnson and Fanene were on their way home from a fundraiser their family puts on every year -- the Usos Foundation Banquet. Both were taken to the hospital, where 65-year-old Maivia-Johnson remained for three nights, Afa said, declining to specify her injuries. The unnamed driver was also taken to the hospital, reportedly with facial injuries.

The actor and former pro wrestler posted a picture of his mother's totaled white Escalade, which he bought her for Christmas in 2012. He also tweeted: "First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days."

That driver is lucky to be alive ... and not just for surviving the accident.
