Today, daily-times.com debuts a new look. It’s been years since our website design has changed substantially, and we’re sure that readers will have a little adjusting to do. However, this new look is cleaner, easier to navigate and the site is still packed with local, national and international news, photography and video.
A few features:
• Home page headlines are larger and easier to read. Photos are larger, too, and our popular photo galleries are easier to find.
• The Latest News section has moved to the left side of the home page. The main news stories are in the center. As usual, these stories will change throughout the day as our journalists produce new stories and photos. The new daily-times.com makes that moment’s most significant stories, photos and videos easier to find.
• There are fewer headlines on the home page, but instead of having to scroll and scroll and scroll to find content, you can roll your cursor over the navigation bar under our nameplate. You’ll find more headlines and links to content for News, Sports, Business, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Opinion and Special Sections.
• The navigation bar also includes Marketplace — links to our Autos, Jobs, Homes and Daily Deals sites — and Tools — links to our customer care services and archives.
We hope you'll take some time to explore the site and to let us know what you think in the comments section. We have worked to speed up the load time of our pages, and we have new advertising rules that will limit the number of moving ads on a page and eliminate pop-ups and pop-unders.
We hope the new design gives you even more reasons to come back.
