FARMINGTON — Police said the man wanted for allegedly pulling a knife on two Walmart employees when he was caught stealing is in custody.

 

Ryan Martinez, a 23-year-old Farmington man, turned himself into police on Friday, Farmington Police Lt. Taft Tracy said.

A warrant was issued last Monday for Martinez's arrest for suspicion of two counts of aggravated assault and shoplifting.

Tracy said Martinez tried to steal about $360 worth of merchandise from a Farmington Walmart and he pulled a knife when he was confronted by two employees as he was leaving the store.

He is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond
