Aztec s Wyatt Schlueter (5) takes a 3-point shot in front of Piedra Vista s Shanahan Wilson (45) during Saturday night s game in Aztec.

The District 1-4A boys' basketball picture is beginning to clear.
Farmington's last-second win over Kirtland Central coupled with Piedra Vista's loss to Aztec clinched a share of the regular season title for the Scorpions and puts FHS a win away from locking up the No. 1 seed for the district tournament.
Matt Huffhines hit a runner in the lane with three seconds left to give FHS a 52-50 win over the Broncos.
“I was expecting some pressure,” said Huffhines, who got the ball with just under a minute left and dribbled out 55 seconds before attempting the game-winner.
The Scorps (13-11, 4-0 District 1-4A) trailed Kirtland 50-44 with two minutes left, but forced the Broncos (9-14, 1-3) into numerous turnovers to spark an 8-0 run.
FHS head coach Paul Corley was proud of the way his team fought back to steal a victory in the final seconds.
“Tonight was a sign of our maturity,” Corley said. “We kept our composure and didn't panic. This is a senior group that basically just didn't panic.”
Josh Miller-Castillo scored a game-high 18 points for the Scorps, including four 3-pointers.
Huffhines added 17 points in the victory.
Christian Mackey fought off double and triple teams from the FHS defense all game to score 17 points while grabbing 13 rebounds for the Broncos in the loss.
