FARMINGTON — The Connie Mack World Series Committee announced Tuesday it is raising ticket prices for the 2013 CMWS.

Officials for the amateur baseball tournament said they remained committed to keeping prices affordable.

Double-game general admission tickets will increase from $4.50 to $5 for adults and from $3.50 to $4 for students.

Single-game general admission tickets will stay the same.

Reserved seat packages for all 19 tournament games will increase to $50, $30 and $25 per ticket booklet if purchased before May 31. Those ticket packages will cost $50, $33 or $27.50 if purchased in June or later.

Those ticket packages previously cost $46, $24.80 or $21.40 if purchased before May 31 and $46, $27.80 or $23.50 if they were purchased in June or later.

The CMWS is an amateur baseball tournament for 17 and 18 years olds held at Ricketts Park in Farmington in early August every year.
