FARMINGTON — The polls opened at 7 a.m. this morning for school board elections across the county. The polls close at 7 p.m.

In Aztec, Mitch Waggoner is running unopposed in District 1, Christina L. Lillywhite is running unopposed in District 2 and Robert James Dusenbery, Jr. is the write-in candidate for District 3.

Voting is underway at Aztec Schools Administration Building and the Flora Vista and Cedar Hills fire stations.

The polling places are convenient centers for all school district except the Central Consolidated School District, which means Farmington, Aztec and Bloomfield residents can cast a ballot at any of the voting places in their district.

In Bloomfield, Karen A. Ransom is running against Bruce Armenta in District 2. Cecelia Chiquito, Eric S. Smith and Dawn A. Moore are vying for District 4. Veronica Desbah Tso and Ben Woody, Jr. are competing for District 5.

Bloomfield residents can cast a ballot at Blanco Elementary School, Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Community School, Huerfano Chapter facilities and the Bloomfield Cultural Center.

In Farmington, Robyn R. Hoffman is running unopposed for District 2 and William R. Young is running unopposed for District 3.

All Farmington voters must go to the San Juan County Clerk's Office in Aztec.

The clerk's office has organized traditional polling places for Central Consolidated School District voters based on where they live within the district.
