FARMINGTON — Two San Juan County residents received three- and five-year prison sentenced for being felons in possession of guns.
Nickolas Neil Anaya, a 28-year-old Farmington man, was sentenced to five years and three months in prison and Walter White, 32-year-old Bloomfield man, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Gonzales said in a prepared statement.
Anaya was arrested April 4 with a .45 caliber revolver and ammunition. He was prohibited from owning a gun because of controlled substance, aggravated assault and aggravated battery convictions.
White was arrested Sept. 13 with a .357 caliber revolver. He had previously been convicted of unlawful taking of a vehicle, burglary, being a felon in possession of firearm, larceny and larceny of a firearm.
