A man allegedly shot a rifle at his friend while the two men were drinking alcohol together on Saturday.

Roderick Begay, who lives near County Road 5769, allegedly shot a rifle at Zachery Negale twice on Saturday, according to San Juan County Sheriff’s Office documents.

Begay missed both times, according to the sheriff’s office. He also took out a folding knife and threatened Negale with it.

Negale fled Begay’s home after the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
