The festival is in its third year and will feature a variety of activities surrounding the flight of balloons from around the area in one of the region's most breathtaking tribal parks.
The tribal park entrance will be closed for the duration of the morning launches from 7 a.m. through 11 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. Those who plan to attend the event may take a free shuttle from the visitor center.
The balloons will fly throughout the valley during the day, and also during the night glow both tomorrow and Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Each day will feature a different schedule of activities, which will range from comedy shows to church services. A full schedule is featured on the Navajo Nation Parks website, at http://navajonationparks.org/htm/MVBallonEvent.html.
All activities will conclude by 3 p.m. Sunday.
Vendors are welcome to sell products at the center for a $30 fee. They must also comlete an application, which also can be found at the parks website.
