FARMINGTON — An Aztec woman was cited after causing a crash that flipped her own vehicle on U.S. 550 in Colorado, police said.
Jana Rodgers, 43, was driving a Ford truck east on U.S. 550 near milepost 14 when she swerved into the westbound lane and struck a semi-truck that was towing a tractor trailer, Doug Wiersma, a spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol, said.
Rodgers was distracted because she dropped something on the floor, he said.
Rodgers' vehicle flipped over and landed on its roof. She was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center where she was treated for moderate injuries, Wiersma said.
Jacob Tuck, a 23-year-old from Hesperus, Colo., was driving the semi-truck. He was not injured.
Rodgers was cited for careless driving.
