"We have some darn good bowlers in this league," President Ron Jackson said. "Any team can beat any team at any time."
Jackson, who was just re-elected to his post during last week's gathering, said the league is a great place for seniors to enjoy meeting and mingling with others, and to have some fun.
"Whether you bowl 75 or 275, it doesn't make a difference.," Jackson said. "You can still come and have a good time."
The 36-week-long season begins in mid-August and continues through April. Each member pays membership dues and must be a member of the United States Bowling Congress.
The league is competitive, but fun. Being experienced in bowling is not a requirement to join.
"As long as you can pick up a ball and throw it," Jackson added, "you'll do fine."
